Hello! You want to be a trader. That means you want to make money by trading.
That’s a great goal! But the hardest part is not the trading. The hardest part is what you think and feel.
Sometimes, people who trade are not really traders. They are like gamblers.
A gambler hopes to get lucky. A smart trader has a plan.
Are You a Trader or a Gambler?
Think about these people.
- A fun gambler plays to have fun with friends.
- A problem gambler can’t stop. They get sad and mad when they lose. They hide it from their family.
- A smart trader is different. They have a plan. They follow their rules. They are not afraid of losing a little. They know it’s part of the plan.
A smart trader is calm. They don’t try to win all the money back at once.
A Simple Test
Ask yourself these questions. Just say yes or no.
- Do you trade to feel excited?
- When you lose money, do you try to win it back right away?
- Do you only tell people about your wins, not your losses?
- Are you super happy when you win and super sad when you lose?
- Is trading the only thing you think about?
If you said yes to some of these, that’s okay. It just means you need to slow down.
Take a break. Stop for a while.
Ask yourself: Am I trading like a smart person? Or am I just hoping to get lucky?
The market doesn’t care about your dreams. But how you think can help you make them real.
